When ever i see an Air Canada Jazz canadair CRJ700 coming into La Guardia Airport, I think of it as a Canadair CRJ900 because it is longer than the CRJ700 why is it that Air Canadair Jazz's CRJs is the 700 instead of 900??

jazz flies the CRJ-705. it's a little longer and different windowws. they're a little higher up the body and i believe a little larger. the CRJ-700 was built off the -200 fuselage and kept the original windows, and for soemone as tall as me they're a pain in the neck!

Bombardier CRJ-705 which Jazz is using is nothing else than regular CRJ-900. AC had problems with pilot union about flying 90 people versus 70.
So AC ordered CRJ-900s from Bombardier with only 75 seats so they could be flown by Jazz crew and not going into mainline.

I think they only delivered 15 of the 705's, exclusively for Jazz, but they also fly a bunch of the smaller CRJ's too, in red, green, and orange. Like this one: http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php? ... 632&nseq=2 (http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=5889632&nseq=2)
