Hi everyone,

So today me and my buddy Bill did a lil' swap...I showed him a bit of JFK, and he showed me a bit of EWR! It was really awesome cuz I had never been to Newark, and I got to show someone unfamiliar with Kennedy how amazing it really is! Weather was simply outstanding...what a great day. Here are some pics to prove it to all you haters :P :

Oh no! Josh! That L'Avion isn't a widebody! It's a 757! You can't shoot that! What are you thinking? Have you gone mad? AHHHHHH!!!!!!

I agree with Idle (calls for injection and strait jacket) As it might be said in Jamaica. Big up mon! I love the 340.

Wow! I am jealous of those shots - Where abouts do you get views like that, and what lens size do you need?!

Geoff,

It depends. Look at the writing. When it says Newark they are taken from close to the long term parking lot/Continental Maintenance area on Brewster Rd at the airport.

For JFK if the wheels are up or partially up then it is a departure and you can get them from the beach if you get off the belt pkwy exit 17 and make a right and go down to the 2nd or 3rd light. If the wheels are down then it is an arrival and you get them from the Costco by the airport. If you get chased from there, go across the street to the Firestone dealer. It is closed so no one will bother you.

One note: the departures from JFK when on 31L are especially nice because they do a left bank out where you can get the entire plane and both wings. Use a 300-400 mm zoom lens and you can get very nice pictures.

Here is an example of a departure from JFK:

If njgtr82 can do it, you sure can. :) He still shoots in broad daylight on the beach at ISO 1600
