Greetings,
I made my way 16 miles north to De Land, FL to get some shots of the F3 tornado damage we had here a few days ago. While I was going after another (Dopplar Indicated Tornado) I remember being on the shore of Lake Monroe and seeing the transformers blowing up way off in the distance with the de Land Tornado. I didn't go up there because it was 3:30am and I didn't know this area very well and had no idea how to get around. The damage width was faily small however there was trailer trash EVERYWHERE and shack debris too. With all the debris I have seen from other tornadoes this one has a lot more TRASH.
On my way to the De Land I noticed 3 other tornado paths from years storms in the past (with in 8 miles of each other). This is good for me as this are is aparently a "Hotspot". This place get ROCKED a lot.
I am glad to be back in an area that get a lot of Tornado- I can start spotting again :)
Note, the shots look bad as I was accidentally taking pix with -1 under exposure. There is a lot of grain bacause I have to make the images much brighter Yes I now their dust spots! Just predent its debris!
Heres some of the shots.
I'll try to get more later on. Maybe from the air next time.
The first shots are of the shopping town center and shopping area.
