I was going to go out but the weather is calling for clouds. "Clouds out, stay home."

As of yesterday weather was calling for partly cloudy but now looks like rain/slush.

Don't think Sunday will be any good for spotting Matt. :(

Perhaps a rain check for next Sunday if the wx is good?

And as I said last night on AIM I don't think BBC is the best source of weather for New York!

The weather is calling for partly cloudy after noon.

Perhaps there is still a chance.

Does someone use a more advanced source then weather.com or wunderground to let us know if this is indeed the case and if the cloud coverage will be constant or if there will be scattered clouds?

My dear friend Senga I seem to recall you have some pretty nifty weather sources in your scope.

Any chance you could look up wx for Sunday after noon?

National Weather Service/NOAA shows the following for Sunday:

A chance of snow, mainly after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 37. West wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

http://www.intellicast.com gives a similar forecast.

I was just checking weather for LGA, NYC, ISP, Forest Hills, and Jamaica and it shows cloudy or mostly cloudy but JFK is showing partly cloudy from 9 am and then mostly cloudy around 3 or 4.

Is it possible that the cloud coverage could be different at JFK?

Ah No. Tomorrow's weather is going to be crap for spotting. I'd just wait until you have a nice day and go out or see what tomorrow brings. Spotting in many cases isn't decided until you wake up. Like last week it was great on Sunday until 11 then the clouds came in. We went out got some shots and went in when the clouds came out.

Thanks again Tommy for the advice.

I'll wake up at 7 and check what the weather forecast is and if it calls for partly cloudy I'll venture out but if it calls for mostly cloudy and whatever then I won't.

That might work for you, or any any other guy who is free from work on the weekend, and has his own car, but it cant work for me. I need to try to establish these things, sometimes weeks in advance, to make sure my dad is free, and see of some of my friends can come. There are many mornings i wake up and say " wouldn't i just want to got spotting today", but cant. It sucks, if the day you chose gives bad weather, and then its a mess. I am going to go. Maybe it won't be good for pictures, then i will just sit there and watch the planes. Maybe it will be and that would be great! All I can do now is sleep another night and hope for the best.

Alright I'm heading out after a two hour delay due to a health issue with my dog.

If anyone decides they want to venture out give us a call!

You wouldn't believe me if I told you how beautiful the wx is up here in Poughkeepsie, just wish it would be the same at JFK!
