400mm Lens Focus Question

I'm curious if you guys use automatic focus or manual focus when shooting with a 400mm?

I have been using manual focus and have gotten some good results and some bad.

Well if your taking a picture of a moving target you need to use auto. The only time I use manual is when I'm shotting at night.
