View Full Version : Apparently Freedom is Grounded at JFK?

As of 16:00 today all Freedom flights are grounded.

Anyone have any more info?

Yes its the weather, visibility was down to zero in many parts of the area today.

Yeah, looks like they were "Grounded" because JFK was running Cat II and the Dash 8's weren't Cat II approved.

we were down to about 0-0 visibility today for a few hours, nothing moved. was interesting looking out my office window and not being able to see the hangar next door...

I actually stopped by LGA as they were landing 4. VERY low ceiling. They were dropping right out of the clouds. Pretty crazy actually.
