For my own travel plans. Tuesday sort of spur of the moment I am flying out early AM from JFK with my grandparents to PHX than probably on to Denver with them. I will turn around and fly back to PHX where I am debateing wheter to spend the night and catch up with an old pal from when I lived in Utah or red eye it home. I will defineately be flying this trip though in one form or another Tuesday. I hope I can get a little sleep on the plane because last PHX flight the flight attendants had me staying awake. I could not close my eyes.

So DEN is cancelled because I have a problem with my knee and cannot sit in coach for 5.5 hours (first is full so no upgrades available) and I have a good place for my knee tomorrow. (Tommy's back) and I might make a day trip someplace Wednesday just to get out of NY for a little bit but I probably will just go to the airport and decide on a whim from there where I am going.

American is the only airline with nonstop service to STL on mainline aircraft (LGA-STL), which happen to be MD-80s. Delta and Continental fly there on RJ's. (AA's JFK-STL flight is also on an RJ). I can't imagine a 2 1/2 hour flight on a CRJ/ERJ is much fun.

I think I'll go with AA its a direct flight and Im almost certain that you get pionts for the ELAL's frequent flyer club if you fly with AA.

JFK-STL is one of the rare flights flown with American Eagle, and not American Connection, which is the norm at STL.

JFK-STL is so sad to see with RJ's.

As mentioned, DL also flies it JFK-STL with the RJ by COMAIR I believe.

Well it did go to RJ service for a time and AA then returned it to mainline service because there was demand and STL is somewhat of a hub for AA so it remains a connecting point in their network. This is for another topic but it wouldn't surprise me to see reduce STL even further in the future.

Started out with great views of the Alps, then the French Rivera and right over the top of the city of Nice, France and it's cool airport. And finally most of Spain. Sounds like an exciting flight. My departure time is 16:50 so hopefully I'll have nice sunset on our way to Madrid. My flight back leaves MAD at 9:50am and gets into ZRH at 12:05pm so that flight will of course be during the day.

I didn't realize the flight to ZRH is 8hr10mn there and 9hr back which will make it my longest flight to Europe!

Yes, it's crazy and all begins in two weeks!

It's weird how it all happened--FCO was because of the AF fare mistake, one of the MCO trips is for work (the other for family), DXB because NW also had a fare mistake, SkyBus because I wanted to fly on them before I left and for $36.30 I couldn't argue, and the mileage run because it works out to 3 cents a mile and then I get a bonus mileage on the DXB trip plus the perks. If someone told me I would be doing all of this flying I would have called them crazy. :lol:

I've wanted to go to DXB for a number of years now and everything just fell into place in terms of price and schedule.

By the way, I start school in February (they then since they're in the southern hemisphere and our winter is the beginning of their fall).

The first time was an accident...I was supposed to change in ORD, but they cancelled my flight to ORD, and had me go through IAD instead. So, I just got home. My flight from Tucson to Denver was my first time ever on a CRJ. I'm not sure what I expected, but I wasn't too impressed. I had a two hour layover in Denver - beautiful airport! I made use of their recently introduced WiFi network and did some spotting from the terminal...lots of interesting Christmas cargo stuff coming in and going out. The flight from Denver to Washington was among the most enjoyable flights I have been on. The crew, all from Chicago, really did an outstanding job. At one point, after boarding had been completed and the crew members were just finishing up stuff, one of the female crew members comes on the PA system and calmly announces that the liquor cart is on board. I assume that this message was intended to be received by the crew in the rear galley only, but that she forgot to deactivate the main PA system first. Nobody really knows what to make of this and there is an awkward silence at first. Then, almost harmonically, a few male passengers start cheering. At this point, the entire aircraft burst out in a fit of laughter, something I have never experienced before. The mood of the crew and passengers was upbeat and cheerful throughout the flight, and I walked off the plane with a big smile on my face. It's good to be home! :D

US A321 got damaged while we were waiting at the gate (gate agent hit the door whit the jetway and they couldn't close the aircraft).

Booked my trip to Europe for next weekend. I wanted to go South, MAD or BCN but US Airways is not flying there on Sundays which means that I wouldn't be able to redeem my miles using saver fare.
Last night I found sweet deal to ZRH. 30K miles in First class (60K RT). I waited until this morning. I had to ask my boss for day off :) He didn't have problem with me taking day off, but by the time I checked the reward travel flights - my ZRH flight was gone! I could still go to ZRH but using 80K miles and flying economy class. I was searching for alternate european cities with good spotting :)
AMS was worth 35K RT, so I booked it.

Instead of a 7 hour layover we'll have an almost 12 hour layover waiting for our flight to Seville. I'd rather fly to LHR and spend the day in London if that's going to be the case. They'll be getting a phone call tonight. :evil:

I am finally taking my first trip to Europe to spend time with my cousins who live in the south of France. While there for my three weeks, we plan on taking a train and spending 4 days in Paris.

I searched Air France/Delta (~1450 USD), Lufthansa (~2000 USD) and Alitalia (~1600 USD). Fares with KLM (1253 USD) were lowest, however I'm not so sure about the airline quality =!

just booked a 5 day trip to Washington for spotting and also some sightseeing in February.
You won't be disappointed with DC - I highly recommend Gravelly Point and the river visual!

Unless you have a car, BWI and IAD can be tough to spot - but make sure to hit up the Uday musuem at IAD.

After today's flight I don't like Southwest even more. I just purchased one way ticket back to BWI on US Airways. I don't like WN so much that I've paid for return flight from a business trip from my own pocket :) Not even that, instead taking direct flight I bought flight with connection at CLT.

Heading to Arizona tomorrow morning for my youngest sons 19th birthday and its Dads Weekend at his fraternity.
Flying JetBlue to Phoenix with a 7:59AM departure from JFK (looking forward to seeing T5) then drive down to Tucson. Didnt feel like dealing with changing planes going down and the drive from Phoenix to Tucson is only about 90 minutes or so. Coming back flying Continental out of Tucson (EMB RJ145) to Houston then on to LGA on a 737-800.
Should be fun especially when I see that temps in Tucson are in the 80s!!!!
