My dad took some pictures of me and my new camera the other day while we where at Bayswater.

I'm finally a big boy camera user now!

Gordon says that he always wears sunglasses, I guess that is correct! :D

You know, a Canon 30D would look better in your hands then that Nikon! ;)

She'd be a D100 with a 80-400MM lens. The camera is actually my dad's old camera but the lens is brand new.

I did actually want a Canon but my dad wouldn't think of the notion!

As for the sunglasses, it protects the eyes from that freezing wind over at Bayswater.

Hopefully I'll be able to try out the new camera and lens in beautiful weather and see what its full potential is!

That is a really sweet peace of equipment! 400mm, so its that around 13X zoom?

Technically it is 5x zoom, but zoom isn't what counts, it is the focal legnth (400mm)

In a standard P+S camera, usually the minimum focal legnth is around 20-25mm. So, we would take 400 and devide it by, say 22 mm and we get a "zoom" of 18X in a standard P+S camera.
