The intention of hitting SWF today was to catch the Royal Air Maroc 747-400 and head quickly back home but my father and I ended up being at the airport from 11:30 to 5:30!

The day started off with photographing the 747-400 which was over by the gas tanks. We moved on to the long-term parking lot get a shot of the Royal Air from the front but stopped as well to get some shots of a Allegiant MD-80 pushing back for Orlando which we caught on departure up on the hill. Once the Allegiant was gone my dad and I explored some around the airport and ended up on a hike taking us along the airport perimeter and along the runway and caught a C-5 doing touch and go's, a US Airways Express CRJ-200, American Eagle ERJ-145, and the MNG Cargo A300. From the top of the hill we headed back to the parking lot for a shot of the MNG which was off-loading cargo. We drove over to the security fence which was right were the A300 was parked and watched for a while. Her load was a bunch of horses from Ireland. From their I headed inside the terminal to check out what is being done in preperation for Air Tran and jet Blue and to my not so much surprise the check in desks for both airlines were there and even a jet Blue flight was up on the departure board! (Flights don't start till Tuesday but I guess the airports excited.) We then headed out over to the other side of the airport by the Fed Ex facility to catch the Royal Air Maroc 757-200, Morocco C-130, and Marocco Gulfstream. My dad drove out onto this muddy construction site to park the car and it ended up getting extremley stuck but I was down by the fence taking photos and talking with Senga. We ended up being stuck for about an hour and finally a tow truck came and got us out.

Here are the shots from today and I'll have shots from my spotting adventure to JFK tommorow.

I hope you enjoy!

Really I didn't even think there was any G4s out there in old colors. This is my claim to fame.

Someone killed the RAM 757 :)

It was so cool to be that close to that RAM 757.

Thanks,
I can only imagine what I'd be thinking if all that was from a country that I have not had before.

Are there any frequent USAF or USMC VIP visitors to SWF, such as the C-32, C-37, C-40, VC-25A, VH-3, VH-60? I was thinking about going to NYC and stopping at SWF over the holiday break to see if there were any VIP aircraft.

Not really. Theres just a Bunch of C-5s and C-130s :)
Newburgh ANG ramp. They frequently are doing touch and goes.
