Continental New York helicopter shuttle takes off
Monday December 4, 11:06 am ET

Continental Airlines and US Helicopter Corp. have partnered to provide shuttle service between Manhattan and its Newark hub beginning Dec. 18.
US Helicopter (OTCBB: USHP - News) customers traveling on the Houston-based airline will be able to check in, receive boarding passes for US Helicopter and Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL - News) and complete security screening at the Manhattan heliport near Wall Street.

Bags checked at the heliport will be through-checked to the passenger's final destination.

Following the eight-minute flight to Newark Liberty International Airport, customers will arrive at a dedicated US Helicopter parking location at Terminal C for connection to their Continental flight.

A one-way ticket costs $159, plus security fees and can be purchased by visiting http://www.flyush.com, which can also be accessed on a link from http://www.continental.com.

US Helicopter's hourly flights between Newark and Manhattan will operate from 6:40 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

I would imagine not many people truely have a NEED for that kind of service though it is convinent not needed.

Not writing them off yet, but if they do fail, I wonder if someone won't try lower prices with more seats using S-92s.

While my impression was New York Airways always struggled, fact is they lasted for years and years (and years..).
