Primaris just pushed back from the gate and received a water cannon salute before taxiing to the runway....should be departing any minute now.

I did witness that event. Why did they do it?

DANG! that plane is U-G-L-Y!! it makes the dull united colors (now considered the old colors i suppose) look really good!! nice to have a new visitor though...

I agree that is one ugly 757. The airline is total joke to. They had these grand plans to order 737s and 787s and now this is the only plane they have. Their website is laughable to, they still have the 787 listed.

The water cannon was because it was their inaugural flight for their seasonal twice weekly flight to GEO.

How did a tiny operation like this get a water cannon for a twice weekly service and our EK inaugural daily to HAM apparently did not? Or at least if it did I didn't see it? Would that be because Primaris is "new" to JFK and EK was already operating DXB from there?

Do you like it here?...I think its pretty snazzy looking in good light and with the titles and CLEAN. I've nevef been a fan of aluminum, silver painted panes but I like this one. I think if you want to go metalic then go bare.

You have that 'brushed aluminum/stainless steel' look that all the rage in high-end appliances nowadays. I like the new NWA look, since you get the sleekness of the metal without the glinting of the bare look that reminds me of the shiny side of aluminum foil.

From what I understand, all it takes to get a water cannon salute is a request from a manager at the airline, no?

Can I get a awater cannon salute next time im at JFK?

Yes I do love the bare metal like JAL cargo, Cathay NWA cargo....its something about bare metal that just looks classic.

Pretty much, I used to request Water Cannon salutes for retirning pilots when I worked for NCA. As long as a Manager makes the request, it is usually pretty easy to set up.
