I have to get a Letter of Administration for the estate of my mother who passed away in June. SO I brought in all of the forms and went to the Surrogate Court on Adams Street in Brooklyn.
I had a prune of an old woman who was ridiculously rude. I explained the situation and she just went nuts.
"Just give me all of the forms now"
"Can you read? You filled it out wrong"
No please or thank you, no word of condolence or sympathy. And to take the cake, she gave me the paperwork to take to the next room, and I said "thank you, ma'am". She goes "DON'T CALL ME MA'AM"! I ALMOST said well ok, thank you, pruneface b**ch.
Has anyone else had these encounters in courts in other boroughs or NY counties?
