As most of you probably know Glenn Stewart from Australia was in town the past few days enjoying the sights and sounds of our neck of the woods. He arrived Tuesday night and did an excellent job of navigating himself from JFK to my house via public transportation and, I might add, he even managed to stop at B&H on the way.
Glenn is a good visitor. He'd wake in the morning, shower and dress and then I'd drop him off at the train station. He'd spend the day in the city doing the touristy things, take the train back and I'd pick him up. Back at the house he'd tell us about his day and then ... off to bed. That was his Wednesday and Thursday. Friday I was off from work and we managed to do some shooting together. Our first stop ... LGA's Planeview Park for some 04 arrivals during the sunny part of the day. I took a couple shots of him at LGA ...

How he coerced this NYPD officer in the van to let him stand on top of the truck I will never know. Must have been that Aussie charm.
We spent the morning at LGA while it was sunny, then moved to JFK for a few hours to watch the clouds roll in and the Sun disappear. Calling it a day I dropped Glenn off at the American Airlines terminal where he took the subway back into the city for some more touristy stuff while I headed home.
Saturday night Anne and I hosted a slide show to give Glenn the chance to meet many of the NY area photographers. We did our usual Chinese buffet followed by the slide show. Here's the group shot ...

Left to right standing: Senga Butts, Matthew Smith (flew in from Emery Riddle in Daytona just to be with us  , Anne, Matt Celmer, Tommy Alfano, Mike Primamore, Mario Craig, Phil Derner, Mel, Ron Peel, and Eric Dunetz. Kneeling in front: Glenn Stewart, Kaylie and yours truly. Alex from Denver with two others planned to attend, but the snowstorm preventing them from doing so. Maybe next time.
Before the group shots were taken the attending Canonites had to figure out how to set the camera up for an indoor flash shot. Take a look ...

Why haven't they converted to NIKON I will never understand
Good having you Glenn and looking forward to seeing you in Australia sometime soon.
