Leaving this Sunday 9/17 on JBU to Richmond on one of them Jungle-Jets, returning Friday the 22nd. I know some of you have flown on one already, what are your impressions vs. their A320's?

Cannot comment on the B6 ERJ-190's, but I can comment on the US Express 170. Probably the best short haul aircraft I've been in. Enough legspace (and I'm 6'6"), huge windows, smooth flight, good seats.

Mario, I totally understand, but it was that or another cramped CRJ on Comair...where in order to look out the window, you have to crane your neck sideways...and I'm only 5'8".

great plane super great plane. Bitoch to work on though as is the 170 on an intresti9ng note forward bin is air conditioned though lol

I've flown the E-190 a few times, and while the B6 E-190 is certainly one of the best RJs, it doesn't beat a Boeing or Airbus.

The 2-2 seating is nice, but as noted, it does feel cramped.

I really liked JB's E190's , the only thing I don't like is the small screens, the seats are leather=comfortable

The E190 is a fantastically roomy plane and the seats B6 installed are very comfortable. John sit towards the back of the plane behind the wing exits, you get more leg room. The windows are HUGE!!!

Skimmin through my manuals for the B6 fleet I found some very intresting stuff in there. It only has a range 400 miles shorter than that of the A-320 and is only 4 feet shorter than the A-320 yet holds 56 less is 4 feet shorter in height at the tail and the aft is the place to be as it is 33" pitch on the seats. Be careful with the reliability of them though they are having many problems right now with several things one of the major things being the steering system has some faults in it that have led to disabled airplanes on runways and taxiways because of the heavy computerazation of this airplane. Shes real intresting to work on though. When you run a diagnostic to trouble shoot the bird you plug a wire hooked to a laptop into the ground com/steering bypass switch panel and run a program that shows you every system fault etc... in the airplane. The friggin avionics are like windows

P.S. is anyone going to take the inaugeral flight to SRQ I will be the C.I./Lead for that one lol. I am working that flight than hopping on board to take it home lol. (It is an A-320 though urrrrr....... I want the jungle jet)

I flew on the E190 to BOS, and I was a little surprised at it actually.

Though small and a "regional" airline, I was expecting ot feel the wind so much, like a prop plane would. We landed back at JFK in slightly stormy conditions, and I could feel the wind beating us up a little. Nothing bad, but for a wing-engined aircraft, I didn't realize how light it must be.

The flights both to and from RIC were great. Sat in Row 13 on the way down (just behind the exit row) and Row 12 (exit row) on the way up. I had PLENTY of leg room. On the way down there was a rather large man sitting next to me, and I for one did not feel cramped like I would have on a 737 or 757. Seat next to me on the way back was empty so it was like having a couch to myself.

I will post a trip report in the next day or so....havent felt well since I came back so I havent been on the computer until tonight (Sunday).
