I was at Planeview Park yesterday and finally got some shots of arrivals. I have to invest in a decent step ladder though!

Take a look at this photo and let me know if anyone thinks that it's JP.net worth it. I can take it so don't hold back!

Also, they don't have a selection for the Dash-8, they only go up to the Dash-7. Any idea why?

great shots I would give them a shot on at least JetPhotos again though I am not the photog expert my limited shooting thus so far is using Idles camera.

Good shots, but not sure how they'd do when uploading.

The Dash-8 shot is a little to top/back lit I think. Too much of the plane is dark.

The US Airways shot is actually grogeous, but just a little too much space around it. If you could crop it tighter without sacrificing quality, that might work. :)

Great shots. Keep it up. :)

I agree with Phil....was typing the same thing when I realized he already was in the process of posting it.

Also for the US Airways, I would try to lighten the bottom just a bit if you can. It's really a beautiful shot!

Thank you guys, I really appreciate the assistance. I'm going to try and spruce them up a bit and try for JP.net. If the Dash-8 still doesn't look right, I won't upload. I also have a few more to edit. Maybe one will hit!

the 319 is really a great shot. just the coloring of the thing is amazing. now, the DH8 is dark, and personally i don't think the props should be standing still in mid air.

Any chance of uploading the originals to an image website like Imageshack? I'd love to have a crack at editing the US Airways one for you. I reckon acception is only a matter of a decent edit for that one.

Well I submitted the photo to JP.net. I had difficulty lightening the belly area of the aircraft so we'll see what happens.

A bit of purple fringing, but this is easily fixed by doing the following:

How bizzare... just looking at that article about removing the purple fringing. I couldn't help but recognise the photo being local to me.

Sydney Botanic Gardens just prior to the Olympics in 2000. Yep, many digitals back then would produce just about that much purple fringing.

But Mike, your purple fringing would be just about enough to have probs with, but minor enough to not bother you with an edit :)

WOW! Glenn the photo looks great! and thank you for the link with the instructions about removing the purple from the image. I'm going to give it another try and see what happens. There are other shots of the 319 in the sequence. I'll keep you and the forum informed. Hopefully I'll have my first accepted photo soon!
