qutar airways at jfk 8/14

did anyone else happen to notice the qutar airways infront of hangar 3 this day??.. i didnt have a camera good enought to get a picture of it.

I'm guessing it was either the A340-200 or 500 or an A330-200? No doubt on a state visit.

This 340 left LAS on Sunday so maybe this is the one sitting JFK..

Someone spotted the A330 at ACY last weekend. And the ATR A319 was at IAD too. Wow I didn't know they used the A345 for VIP movments.

Hmm LAS, ACY, I see a pattern here and good Muslims are not supposed to gamble! Seriously I believe these are the Emiri flight (Royal) jets but I was told by a Qatar Airways rep that they did intend at some point to fly to NYC or someplace like Houston or Dallas. Qatar has huge natural gas reserves (hence the TX connection) and is also America's new best friend in the Gulf, having welcomed the bases that were moved out of Saudi, so I could see possibly an IAD service as well. Like Emirates and Etihad they have alot of longhaul equipment on order...

the one that was at jfk is the 319!... the whole time it was by hangar 3 pa police and customs were all over it..

Must be A7-HHJ as that's their only ACJ, it's Amiri Flight but in QR colors as all the Qatar royal flight jets are. Not often seen outside of Europe and Doha...Wonder what the interior is like, anyone get a look in?

These Amiri flights visit the US a lot. Especially to DEN and JFK.
