Allthough not as interesting to you guys as it is for me, I still wanted to let you know.

Around Midnight a fire broke out in a hanger of SN Technics. 4 Aircraft are believed to be totally destroyed:

Armavia A320 EK-32010
Armenian A320 EK-32001
Hellas Jet A320 SX-BVB
BAF C-130 CH-02

A SNBA (SN Brussels Airways) and a Virgin Express plane were parked in front of the hangar, and were pulled to safety in time. A Jetair plane (OO-TUI) was parked in an adjenct hangar and was not damaged, allthough it was unable to fly a morning rotation.

Cause is believed to be a cleaning fluid based on Ethanol (wich is know as alcohol) they were cleaning the Armavia with, wich vaporated and ignited due to a spark causing the fire. The fact that the Armavia plane had fuel left in it's tanks didn't help.

There are something like only six Airbusses in the whole country of Armenia and 3 where lost in 3 days, the Armavia at Sochi, the Armavia at BRU ( Sounds like the fire started on this aircraft, and was fueled by the fuel still in the wings, I believe fuel is normally drained during MTC) and the one leased 320 that was the only aircraft in the fleet of Armenian.
Just crazy coincidence !!!

Ron, i'm familiar with the crash and this hanagar fire, but what is the third Armavia incident that you mentioned? The third A320 is from Armenian (not Armavia, but he was talking about the country) wich was in the same hangar.
