Couple things about this....

First of all, while this seems to actually be a great alternative for liposuction, what most people don't realize (or want to admit) is that just liposuction, is actually not for FAT people, per se. Liposuction is more of a "enhancing" surgery and is ideal for people who do go to the gym...and eat right...and are at a healthy weight already, but have "problem areas." Even after liposuction, where fat cells are removed, it's still possible to gain weight in the areas operated on. No, fat cells don't grow back...but they DO expand.

I don't agree with this method, or anything else comparable to liposuction being advertised with severely obese people in mind. It's not realistic...and even if an inch or 2 is taken off the waists and thighs of these people, they're still not going to be changing their eating or lifestyle habits. Their blood pressure and cholesterol will still be high, and they'll remain unhealthy. Also, neither procedure is actually "weight loss" Even a liter of fat only weighs about 2 lbs. During liposuction, Doctors are not supposed to remove more than 5 liters of fat,maximum...and that's drastic.

Sorry for the rant. This kind of stuff fascinates me, though I don't think I'd ever consider it. I could most CERTAINLY spend $3000+ in a much better way, then to fit into one size smaller jeans. :P
