Does Jet blue need another type of Aircraft, Larger? longer range?

I think they could use the extra seats a A321 could give on some of the FL routes, but does anyone think we would ever see A350 or 787 in Jetblue colors???

ah...no.

If jetBlue wants to go into bankruptcy, or dissolve, then they can go after the A350 or B787.

But all one has to do is see the problems they are having with the E190's right now, and know that ANOTHER new type would just kill them. The E190's are CONSTANTLY having MX issues. They are not as reliable as their A320's, not to mention the time to "reboot" an E190 is about 10 mins and you CANNOT touch the controls, vs. the A320's under 5 mins.

(and for you new guys who ask where I get my info, my bro is a mechanic for B6 in JFK.)

Probably so, but I don't think it would help them get back and forth East/West coast without the same issues they have for the A320.

Someday yes we could, but certainly no time soon.

the 321 has the shortest range of the 320 family so it would not help cross country
