Phil,

Where did you take this shot? Is it at the "infamous" docks?

haha. Nah, that was taken at the Flushing Marina boardwalk.

If it was from the dock, you'd see it a little more head on with the plane looking alot lower.

my flight landed almost right after the AA 767. as we were pulling off the runway, she was approaching her gate.

Joe,

I probably have a photo of your plane landing. Were you on a US CRJ? I think that was the next plane.

I got a pic of it. If you want a print of it, I'll hook you up. Only $125 for an 8x10 (no frame).

According to a very reliable source (Cancidas) another AA 763 visited LGA today (1-5) ion the usual 1230 departure to MIA !

Could this be regular service or something? Same times.

There are quite a few AA widebodies that hang out in MIA from early morning to evening (South American Ops). Often times when a 757 breaks they will take the 75 doing the LGA r/t to replace the broken one and then sub the LGA trip with the 763. Because it leaves MIA at 0838 and is back in MIA at 1533 it works pretty well. I would guess this easily happens 25-30 times a year.

Cheers

are there usually a lot of extra seats on that flight when it gets subbed with a 763?

Joe, AA's 757 cap is F22-Y158 ttl 180, 763 cap is C30-Y189 ttl 219 so that flight gains 39 seats, a huge break for any non-revs if it was a busy day !

Most of the 757's are 22/166. The ones that hold 22/158 are the ex-Tway birds :D
