In the past hour, a small plane with 3 people on board has made an emergency landing at Robert Moses State Park on the south shore of Long Island. Report that all occupants have been removed, no word on their condition.

Any word on the type of aircraft? Or the condition of the folks on board?

I used to rent their Arrow--seemed a little ratty at the time.

I hope everyone's ok.

Where at Robert Moses did they land?
Right on the beach?

no i don't think it was the arrow... it was either a cherokee or a warrior. again, i didn't fly thier piper fleet so i don't know exactly.

vodkagirl, it crashed in one of the lightly wooded areas. no trees or large stuff, just some small bushes.

Newsday is reporting it as a Cherokee that landed in the dunes between fields 2 & 3. 3 aboard, all treated & released at a local hospital.

I wonder what the problem was? Thank god there weren't any people parked in the parking lot, than there would have been a problem.
