An F14 and F15 just landed at LGA, possibly after flying over Yankee Stadium. More details as they become available.

They flew over my "hood" in the Bronx, had just gotten out of my car and heard something
loud and out of the ordinary, looked up and saw them in a nice right turn right over my head
NICE. (I live about 3 miles north of Yankee Stadium so this all makes sense !)
Today is my birthday so this was a nice little gift. Seeing Derkek Jeter hit a
"Grand Slam Homerun" was pretty nice as well.

Cheers

Wow, sweet. I guess they were in for 22, then.

Happy Birthday, Ron! :)

Interesting how they'd have an F-15 and F-14 flyover. You sure it just wasn't 2 F-15's, or 2 F-14's?

The two fighters I saw over the Bronx today where of a different size and slightly different
shape, could not see them close enough to id. They did not mention a flyover during
the Yankees game but they mentioned a US Army Parachute drop and that it was
US Armed Force's Day at the stadium making the flyover likely !

Ah ok, US Armed Forces day at the Stadium would explain both the 14 and 15, rather than just a twoship of 14's or 15's...

My brother called me from a park in Bellerose to tell me he saw two fighters overhead. I guess that was probably them. :)

It's 2PM and just heard a massive rumble on the LGA departure. Sounds as if these fighters just left...can anyone confirm?

they were actually a f-18 and a f-14. when i saw then depart the -18 rolled first and the -14 second. seconds after geting airborne the -14 was already chasing down the other pilot and the two played around for position as they departed LGA. they recieved an early turnout to the north and stayed low, below 5000ft i would say. i watched them until they were specs on the horizon. well, at least until the FO started yelling at me over the intercom that they were ready for engine start... :o both were navy by the way, as the callsigns were both navy. they arrived separately though, spaced apart by an AE RJ arrival.
