Have you taken a flight recently, and thought to yourself “I would give anything for Wi-Fi right now!” According to a survey conducted by Honeywell Aerospace, many of you have. While in-flight Wi-Fi is still a very new technology which has only made its way into reality in the last few years, the study reveals that 86% of U.S. passengers think that Wi-Fi should always be available on any domestic, and even international flight. That number drops a bit among U.K passengers to 81%, and 77% among Singaporean passengers.

The survey claims that nearly 90% of passengers would give up an amenity if they were to get more reliable and faster Wi-Fi while on board. But what exactly would they give up? 46% of U.K. and 38% of U.S. passengers would give up their preferred seat. 32% of U.S. passengers would actually give up the ability to recline their seat in exchange for better Wi-Fi, and 27% of Singaporean passengers would give up a whopping 6 inches of legroom. In the U.S., 42% of passengers would give up their in-flight snacks for Wi-Fi, while 22% would give up their beverage service, but only 13% would give up the privilege to use the restroom on-board.

Whether or not the passengers surveyed would actually pony up a massive amount of legroom in exchange for Wi-Fi probably won’t ever be answered in reality, but they sure are pretty interesting stats!
