Nestled way off to the far right of the ticketing hall at JFK T8 sits a new and exclusive feature that most passengers will never see. A space that once housed signs for partner airlines and wheelchairs is now home to a new Flagship Check-In, catering to the rich, famous, and those flying select First Class routes.
Flagship Check-In is one of the first places in T8 to show signs of the airlines re-branding, and that effort shines through. The entire look, feel, and atmosphere of the Flagship Check-In area feels refreshing, just like American’s new livery. Clean lines throughout the design, a back-lit glass wall, and comfortable seating await important passengers. Various inspirational quotes adorn the walls as televisions flash images of wine and fine dining, all to help the passenger unwind.
A seating area, complete with power outlets, lets large groups recharge while the check-in process occurs. Even the check-in kiosk, for passengers who opt out of the personalized service, is covered in wood grain finishing. Once the check-in process is completed, passengers are ushered into the TSA Pre✓ line for expedited screening.
Flagship Check-In is available to passengers traveling First Class on a transcontinental flights, First Class on any international flight (including select oneworld partner airlines), a ConciergeKey member, and Five Star Service customers.
