JetBlue will leave the Richmond-New York/JFK market beginning in November, according to a published report.
The New York-based carrier will discontinue its twice-daily service between Richmond International Airport (RIC) in Virginia and New York John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) effective November 1st. JetBlue operates the route with Embraer E190 aircraft.
JetBlue launched RIC-JFK flights on April 6th, 2006 with four flights daily. A jetBlue spokesperson told the Richmond Times-Dispatch that the route is being discontinued because it “underperformed expectations for some time.”
