Pet Airways to Begin New York-Fort Lauderdale Service on December 4th

Pet Airways, the world’s first airline only for pets, will be adding Fort Lauderdale Executive (FXE) as their fifth destination from Farmingdale Republic Airport (FRG) on Long Island starting December 4th.

The airline began operations on July 14, 2009, with a pair of seat-less Beechcraft 1900Cs operated by Suburban Air Freight, an Omaha, Nebraska-based company. All of their “pawsengers” are kept in the cabin and receive special care from Pet Attendants throughout the flight.
