In Ft. Lauderdale, A Hotel Is Demolished To Make Way For A New Runway

The next phase in the construction of Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport’s new runway began recently with the demolition of a nearby hotel. That space was needed to ensure that aircraft have a sufficient safety area at the end of the runway.

South Florida Welcomes First Boeing 787 Service to the Region

On Friday, November 29th, Norwegian Air Shuttle began its 787 service between Fort Lauderdale FL and 3 Scandinavian cities. This new service marks the first year-round scheduled service to Europe from Fort Lauderdale, and comes as a part of the European low cost carrier’s expansion into several US markets.
