Former JetBlue Captain Clayton Osbon has been allowed to go home by reason of insanity, but is banned from going near planes.
Clayton Osbon, the JetBlue pilot who suffered an in-flight meltdown in March was on Tuesday found not guilty by reason of insanity.
The wife of Captain Clayton Osbon in which she asked the media to respect her family’s privacy and said she and her family believe that Osbon “was not intentionally violent.”
Federal prosecutors filed a criminal complaint against Clayton Osbon, the JetBlue Flight 191 Captain who suffered a psychotic episode on March 27, 2012.
A JetBlue flight made an emergency landing on Tuesday when the captain suffered some kind of mental breakdown. No one was injured, thanks in part to the actions of David Gonzalez, who held the pilot in a choke hold until the plane landed safely.
