    Tokyo-Haneda 20-03-2017 (photo heavy!)

    Hi everybody,

on Sunday 20 March I moved from Narita to Haneda to continue my spotting trip. It was once again a sunny and warm day, which was nice, but not so good for photography; lots of heathaze and harsh light.

Nevertheless I had a very enjoyable day. Here's my impression:

I started my visit on the deck of the International Terminal.

    1. China Southern can also be seen at Haneda, using various aircraft like this B737-800:

    2. Not the best picture, Thai B747-400 taxiing out for its flight back to Bangkok:

    3. My first encounter with the new EVA Air livery:

    4. Various JAL aircraft have received 2020 titles for the upcoming Olympic Games:

    5. My first Star Wars ANA was this B777-300ER, ready for its flight to Frankfurt:
B773-ANA-JA789A-HND20mar17-1 by Anton Homma, on Flickr

    6. My second arrived a little while later, this B767-300ER with on the left side R2-D2:

    7. And on the right side BB-8:
B763-ANA-JA604A-HND20mar17-2 by Anton Homma, on Flickr

    8. Haneda has its fair share of nice Japanese carriers like Solaseed Air:

    9. And Skymark:
B738-SKY-JA73NM-HND20mar17-2 by Anton Homma, on Flickr

    10. Heatwaves ruined this pic of this US BBJ a little bit:

    11. Around lunchtime several international visitors arrive, like this very nice A330-300 of Shanghai Airlines:
A333-SHA-B6097-HND20mar17-2 by Anton Homma, on Flickr

    12. Lufthansa operates two daily flights into Haneda, one from Munich using A340-600s and one from Frankfurt using B747-800s. This one is doing a aborted landing and go-around:

After the lunchtime rush I moved to the deck of Terminal 2 to get some nice pics with the Tokyo Bay in the background.

    13. United B787-9 taxiing after landing:

    14. Another Japanese carrier operating from Haneda is Starflyer with their black A320s:

    15. Also nice is Air Do, which operates B767s and B737s:

    16. Haneda is ruled by loads of JAL's and ANA:

    17. J-Air flies several times a day with ERJ170s:

    18. The background is very nice when photographing from Terminal 2 as this Sky B737-800 shows:

Then it was back to the International Terminal:

    19. Singapore used their A350-900 with 10,000th Airbus sticker:

    20. JAL has applied some nice special stickers on this B767-300ER:

    21. My third Star Wars ANA arriving; B787-9 in R2-D2 livery:
B789-ANA-JA873A-HND20mar17-1 by Anton Homma, on Flickr

    22. B777-200 of JAL with stickers:
B772-JAL-JA8984-HND20mar17-1 by Anton Homma, on Flickr

    23. JAL also has several planes in oneworld-livery like this B777-300:
B773-JAL-JA752J-HND20mar17-1 by Anton Homma, on Flickr

    24. My very first A321 from Vietnam Airlines!
A321-VNA-VNA606-HND20mar17-1 by Anton Homma, on Flickr

    25. And I end my impression with this B777-300ER of JAL with special tennisplayer Jet Kei stickers:

I hope you enjoyed it. Stay tuned for pictures of Haneda of 21-03-2017, including the newest ANA Star Wars B777-200ER! If you want to see the whole set, please see: https://www.flickr.com/photos/lifeli...h/33741676475/

Nice set! The observation areas for spotting at Haneda are awesome!!! Wish we had something similar at JFK. The best spotting view was at the Pan Am Worldport in the early years when you could park on the roof (formerly Terminal 3) and have a great view runway 31L-13R and of the aircrafts parked at the gates. Also, the JFK International Arrivals Building (IAB) had an observation area as well. I remember paying 25 cents to go past a turnstile and then up some step to an outside area which provided you a view of aircraft parked inside between the East and West wings. The IAB has since between replaced with what we now know as Terminal 4.
