    Blue Angels at NY Airshow

Blue Angels announced they will be at the NY Airshow July 1-2! Guess they're moving that airshow from September

Yes it was the only way they could get the Angels. I gather both them and TBirds unavailable on those Sept dates.

F-16 and F-35A are confirmed; demo from the F-16 and no demo from F-35A (maybe a pass or two but it will fly a Heritage Flight with the F-16 and a P-51).

Man, this looks like the show to be at! Wish I could make it seeing that Jones Beach look a little on the tame side this year.

This is actually the 3rd year in a row for the show up at Stewart and they've had a Friday practice show
the previous 2 years so I'm sure they'l be having their usual Fri. practice show again this year.

Thanks Chris. Is the same parking and viewing areas available that day also?

Friday practice day is usually only open to Media and invited guests inside, but I'm sure you'll
be able to find a place on the outside of the airport to view the practice show from a distance.

Saw the arrival on Facebook live. Nice Fly Over
Did read that they had issues in Latrobe over the weekend
Saturday # 2 hit a bird and had to land
Sunday morning # 3 had a leak in fuel control system and was grounded and during show on Sunday # 4 had a boost issue mid flight and had to land
These birds are keeping the mechanics busy thats for sure!! Great job keeping them going!

That's crazy, saw they only had 5 jets and heard about the bird strike but didn't know what happened to the other. And the blues arrived really early, guess it wasn't worth flying home when your next show is next door.
NY Airshow is doing a job job going live on Facebook!

During the practice show yesterday, #7 filled in for #2 on the four ship team.

    A few more from yesterday.

With storms around they moved the Angels up from 3 to 2PM. They got up but clouds kept them low and not sure it was a full show. Radar shows it raining there now so hopefully they got the rest of the show in. Also from the NY Air Show FB page the B-25 had to cancel their performance today. Tomorrow's weather looks much better but hot!!
