Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (RIF) TU-154 KJFK pics

    Greetings,
I noticed the RIF T154 was heading back to JFK in the dead of night. It arrived at 4am and departed 1.5 hours later. I was glad to finally get a much better shot that my previous one from a few months back. This is also my first shot of 2017.

The Seventh Sense never disappoints. This is a really great night shot of what's got to be one of the very rarest frames that comes here. Wonder if it was picking up the household effects from Riverdale and the mansion on Long Island.

Very true. It is indeed an unusual visitor. I did not expect to see it any time soon after the last visit a few months ago. I do believe this was a refueling stop. It came from BIKF and then headed to Central America. I should have listened to clearance to get the route. Senga

    I haven't seen a TU-154 since 2012, and in the states it's been decades
The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!

    Thanks John,

Its always nice to get a unique aircraft in a decent shot. I only had a few moments of shooting time after they moved the ramp equipment.

I think my most unique TU-154 I shot was the Kyrgystan 154.
