COS - 6/23/2016 (Global Supertanker)

While on a work related trip to Colorado Springs I got the chance after work to get some spotting in at COS. Not much commercial traffic here as compared to JFK, BOS, DEN, etc., but seeing the Global Supertanker (N744ST) made up for it! The Global Supertanker is based out of COS. What a beautiful looking scheme as well. BTW, Peterson Air Force Base shares the airfield with Colorado Springs Municipal Airport (COS).









This KC-97 has been converted into a restaurant which was adjacent to my hotel called the Airplane Restaurant. Part of the aircraft is outside while the other half is inside. You can dine inside the aircraft.

Wow, that's a great shot of the KC-97! And the 747 tanker is a great catch as well.
