It is due to the runway length, they prefer a longer runway. T-Birds have used JFK & Islip. I think they used FRG twice, once with the arresting gear and once without.

As per the AAM Facebook page they are still waiting for approval from the USAF and the Air National Guard Unit on the A-10's attendance.

The Blue Angels are performing in Md at the USNA on Wednesday 5-25 in the afternoon.

If if they follow their usual travel policy they will arrive at KFRG Thursday morning. They will have a briefing and then go up and run through circles and landmarks at the beach Thursday afternoon.

Friday morning they have a flyover at the USNA graduation at 10:04AM. Figure they will depart KFRG about 9:00am

After they return they will go up for their full practice at the beach Friday afternoon.

I drove by Republic this afternoon and saw they've installed the temporary arresting system on the RWY 32 already.

C-130 must have brought it in today. It wasn't out there yesterday at 4:00pm.

Also I would look for Blue Angrl 7 sometime Wednesday afternoon.

Thanks for the info Fred. I'm looking forward to this coming weekend, and hope Mother Natural provides us with the good weather.

Thanks Mark I'm trying, but I'm sure there are a lot of people out there with more information than me and hopefully they will share it.

Long range "W" forecast looks good, hope it stay that way.

My source says around 5PM. And I saw one of my "Memories" post on FB from 2 years ago and the Angels came into FRG around 9AM and yes they did the graduation that year also and left around 9AM then back and flew some media flights though the weather wasnt that great and the Friday practice show was cancelled!!
