Saudia Cities special is inbound this morning (9/19) to JFK. Flight SV21 is due in around 1030. Happy hunting.

A rare EWR alert - the beautiful Air Canada retro 319 is due in just before 5p this evening.

Saw what appeared to be a jumbo being escorted by roughly an f15-sized aircraft over syosset just now. Any info on what that was all about?

I just saw the same two heading northwest over Nassau. I think the F15 was just trailing the commercial jet for practice, but Hey, you never know!

Actually, I think the lead jet may have been a KC-135

Not sure if this is in the right place but to answer your question I saw a single fighter trailing a 4 engine heavy at 6:45AM this morning as well over Northeastern Nassau. Flying patrol as part of heightened security, it is most likely a KC-135 refueling the fighter.

It's not at all uncommon to see fighters refueling from tankers in this area this week. There are always combat air patrols going on during UN Week.

WestJet's new Frozen themed 738 is due into JFK today, C-GWSV, ETA ~5pm. Better catch it today, as WestJet JFK service ends tomorrow and doesn't resume until May!

But there's always a chance to get it at LGA

It's hard to take chances but sometimes it's better if you do

    Twin Beech 42C at JFK

I heard the piston engines and spotted a georgous polished silver Twin Beech approaching 22R this afternoon at about 13:50 hrs. It didn't show up on Flightradar, but was heard checking in on Live ATC.com as "Beechcraft 42C." Definitely a beautiful photo op for anyone who wants to venture out and find where it is parked at the airport.

Seems to be a semi-regular visitor lately, but a Nolinor 737-200 is about 20 minutes out.

Not exactly photographable but it's worth noting the 77W sporting the new Cathay Pacific livery just touched down ahead of my aircraft. Likely not the first visit though? The Saudia 77W special is also parked at T1. They're on the 22's at the moment.

Quick reminder that the Etihad A380 inaugural is tomorrow (Monday) morning. A6-APB is airborne and due at the usual time, right around 9:00. Departure is mid-afternoon.
