The Airbus 321LR demonstrator, D-AVZO, is inbound on a CDG-JFK proving run. Callsign is AIB321; looks to be arriving in the 1700 hour which is right around sunset :(

Silk way 748 departing around 1pm today. Have only seen it at the cargo terminal. Hoping the rain holds off.

Maybe exciting, maybe not - Alitalia's first (and so far only) 777-300, EI-WLA is inbound on the usual early afternoon AZ flight. Arrival in the 1300 hour. This is a second visit - it was here last Saturday also, so perhaps a weekly occurrence? It's usually locked into a Sao Paulo rotation.

[EDIT because it's the same day: It'll be after dark, 2000-ish, but Aer Lingus's A330 EI-GCF is JFK-bound on its first revenue flight.]

An El Al 789, 4X-EDC, is due to arrive JFK at 2040 (delayed until after dark, boo). They've been regular at EWR for a few months now, but I believe this is the first visit to JFK.

Pretty cool few minutes of JFK arrivals. Il-96 RA-96023, and Amiri B748 A7-HBJ is right behind her. A mini-UN week!

A German AF aircraft just landed at JFK. Supposedly just gassing (at Sheltair) and departing on 31L shortly.

Polar Aor Cargo departure just after 1pm today, B748.

The German AF, flight 17, was some sort of VIP transport.

Not amazingly rare, but still notable - one of the Dreamlifters is due JFK early in the 1800 hour.

Just saw a China Airlines A359 on its way round to 22 at JFK. Is this a one off?

ETA: I see President Tsai of Taiwan came to NYC.

Any word on Biden-AF1 coming into JFK today? The c-17 arrived about a half hour ago and he has an interview tomorrow with Seth Meyers. Security at t5 are rerouting some folk.
