    JFK 6-19

    Hey All,

With the Tigers coming to town to play the Yanks next weekend I'll be making a trip down to NY to take in the festivities on Saturday. Perhaps more importantly however, is the opportunity to do some spotting, which I intend to do on Friday starting around noon. If anyone else is thinking about heading out let me know!

    Hey Everyone,

Here's a handful of departure shots from Friday the 19th. These were shot with the 150-600 from Frank Charles Park, which is damn near perfect given the fact that JFK is using 31L Shortened during construction. Special thanks to Mark (Zee71) for suggesting the spot and coming out to enjoy a beautiful (though fickle) afternoon at JFK!

Great shots you both. I especially love the Transearo and the B/W Air France.

Outstanding job with both the day and night shots! Looks like HoBe was even more kind to you than your LCD screen indicated!

Here's the first part of my arrival shots:

I promise I didn't bone up the white balance on this one. The threatening clouds moved on and we had a few minutes of odd pink/red/orange backgrounds.

The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!
