Silkway Azerbaijan Cargo B748 KJFK pics

    Greetings,
I managed to get down to JFK to get the Silkway B748. I do like this livery and glad we finally have a chance to get this JFK newbie. Upon arriving they had a Water Canon Salute as it taxied onto the ramp. I have never seen them park a plane as the did the AZG B748 on the KAL Cargo Ramp. They had to turn it around and back it up and pull it forward before they unloaded it. This process took about 15 minutes. Watching them was like seeing someone trying to double park as car with 5 inches from and back to maneuver with.

    Thanks,
If it had been during the day I probably would have missed the arrival. Hopefully it will come in during the day sometime.
Here is what my eye actually saw.

    Building 9, K4's nest at JFK, I like Silkways IL-76TM's too :)
The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!

    Very true,
It seems just about any livery looks good on a IL-76. In my opinion it has some of the best lines and curves of any aircraft.

Was able to Silk Way West on her second appearance to JFK on Jun 9th. Unfortunately this was the best I could do, there was other stuff in the way as they towed her in. She is definitely one beautiful livery. It would be nice to catch this during the daylight hours. The reg for this was VQ-BVB as well.

Nice shot Mark, This is definitely one of JFK more exotic regulars. I hope we can get it at sunset sometime. Senga
