    Fly Me To The Moon

Not the greatest shot, but I'll take it! Finally, after many moons, I was able to catch this aircraft going through the moon. Taken with the Nikon D7100 + 80-400mm lens.

Outstanding capture Mark! Sunlight on the bird makes it that much sweeter. Well done.

Very cool Mark! Man I saw one of these happen last weekend, 4-engine a/c nice and low, just before sunset, blue sky with the whole side of the a/c lit up like that. Where was I? Outside the house with no camera in my hands of course.

Closest I've come so far to a plane in front of moon shot.

Super on downwind leg for 22L over Massapequa.

Very nice shot Mark, I am envious as I have been trying to get a shot of a plane in front of the moon for many years, my white whale you may say! I have seen jets pass through the moon several times, of course it has only been because the camera was no where to be seen!
