With the recent increase in Delta 747 service to DTW and the knowledge that I may soon be moving out of the area, I've started a mission to get some good shots of the queen of the skies in operation before Delta's are retired. This morning I got up early after a late night of work and headed out to one of the hotels on Wick road for some winter-like spotting.
First off was the 747, which I almost missed since they were running a bit earlier than I had anticipated.
Up next was an unexpected special treat, one of Delta's Skyteam 737s.
MD-xx series jets were almost as common today as the regional jets during the arrival cycle I was able to photograph.
One of a pair of 757s during the cycle, this one coming in from Orlando.
I also had a chance to get my first non-backlit DL A330 shots with a pair of arrivals from Asia.
Closing out the day with one of two regionals that wasn't wearing a red triangle on the tail.
Thanks for looking!
