    Abercrombie & Kent (Icelandair) B752, TAME A319 and VP-BAP 727-100 JFK Pics

    Greetings,
Went out to get a few aircraft this morning at JFK.
Abercrombie & Kent (Icelandair) TF-FIW. Glad they finally went strait AC&C markings on one side and not a partial this time. Two TAME A319s came in last night and both departed this morning. Didn't feel like waiting for the second so I just shot the one. These cooperate 727s are looking like mirror images of one another could not even bring myself to go out for it on it its own merits even if it was a new frame for me.

    Thanks all.
Mark, Nice shots. Yea I had a feeling you shot the second departure :) When I was up there for the first departure of TAME there wasn't any other cars in the "Shootable areas" also your reg confirmed now as well. That A319 was a tough shots because of the distance coupled with the high winds and poor lighting. Every time I would try to shoot the AB&K a cloud would move over and then when I would leave it would get sunny again so I just gave up and shot it and went home.

Nice catch of the TAME 319. I'm a bit surprised that TAME hasn't been using a 319 for Quito to JFK before---given that Avianca uses 320s from JFK to Colombia and Delta uses 737s. (TAME normally uses its only wide-body on the JFK-Quito route.)

    Nice shots mark,
I don't think they do. just looked at some images of their A319s and all seems to be int he same livery.

I must say I did get a shot of the 727-200 from 2003 in special colors. It was supposed to be the new livery but then they scrapped the livery and came out with the Colors that preceded the current colors. Just wish I had the old old old colors i was so bumbed when the blue one came in instead of the cheatline livery then every time after that it was always the updated colors.
Imagine this on the A319. Fresh out of the point shot and I JUST missed the old colors at the time!

Yea, Its a shame they didn't use this livery or even the livery that was on the planes after it after it. Their current colors are really bland.
