    Next AF1 October 16th

Missed Air Force One this week? Not to worry, because according to the DCCC fundraising e-mails that I get every 45 minutes, he's coming back to the area for an event in Garden City next Thursday.

No idea where in Garden City, that's all the e-mail said. I also don't know if they'll motorcade from JFK to the site or do something like fly to Eisenhower Park and then go the last mile or two by land (I don't know Long Island geography well enough to know what makes sense). If there is helicopter transport, there will almost certainly be a rehearsal landing on either Tuesday or Wednesday. Aside from shooing people out of the actual LZ, there's no secure perimeter for the practice, so you should be able to get relatively close for pictures. The only caveat is that you never know where or when (or in this case if) a practice will take place.

The fundraiser is being held at the Garden City Hotel.

I doubt they will use Eisenhower Park. More likely one of the nearby fields.

Wonderful! I pass that hotel on my way to work and back home everyday. I guess I'll need a new route.

Hofstra University Athletic Fields? Easy to secure and they have used it before

Funny, my son was in Brooklyn Heights on Sunday and TXT me a picture of 3 Ospreys flying high past Battery Park SB. Thought, wonder is President coming in and a few days later he was here, then upstate, I believe. Thought I'd see some pics here on AF1 but guess everyone coming down from UNGA, LOL!!

Haha. Both mine and my brother's bar mitzvahs were there.
I believe 5000 dollars gets you in.

Just saw a dark colored Osprey heading east over the LIE in northern Nassau, at about 5000 feet. (10/12/14-13:15 hrs)

I saw an Osprey over the East River at 11:30 this morning (actually its reflection in the building across the street). TFRs are up for NEWARK on Wednesday, as well as Bridgeport and New Haven. Then there's a separate set of TFRs for JFK, Garden City, and Providence on Thursday.

They flew over me. First it was one single VH22 and then 20 minutes or so later 2 more VH22s along with 2 VH3s. No more than 1000 feet. So I guess as the crow flies from Bridgeport to Downtown NYC.

I believe that that is off as well...the Ebola situation has a lot to do with it.
