    I was actually about to reach out to him about the crash. Very sad to hear. As awful as that crash was, heroic stuff took place that day.

    R.I.P. Very true Phil. Especially Lenny Skutnik the video of him jumping in the water to save Priscilla Tirado is inspiring.

    Very sad news. I remember that day so well. I'm a former Air Florida employee & had just got home from work that day.
    Train as if your life depends on it. Because some day it may.

    Having jumped into a cold lake once, one that was NOT covered in ice, I cannot imagine what that was like to rescue people in those conditions. That was absolutely an example of the finest element of humanity...compassion for the suffering of others to the point of taking on life-threatening risks.
