    KLNC-Warbirds on Parade 2014

    Hello All,

Despite my absence, my return to America did not kill me... yet, and I am still shooting where I can. Finding myself in the Lonestar State one last year I decided to make my final pilgrimage to Lancaster for the annual Warbirds on Parade event. While small, it is always fun!

I love the backdrop at LNC, nice and simple, but creates some interest in the frame

Love the way this PBJ sticks out from the rest of the Mitchells worldwide

The star of the show is always the CAF's beautiful B-24, Diamond Lil

Great panning and prop-blur Nick! I'd love to get to see/hear an A-26.

    Empty Backseats make me cringe...

And when will the CAF read the memo about how painting a gigantic american flag on the side of a classic is disgraceful? ---

Dude with Cotton Candy = CAF's B-24 ; Annoyed Guy in Grey Shirt = Me

You got some nice shots though! I particularly like the bird-dog! Did you manage to stick around for any after dark photos?

Thanks everyone for the nice remarks, it really was a very enjoyable little event. And you cannot beat the sound of all that radial goodness.

Skyteam, per the CAF, that flag is actually an authentic pre-war marking, required for neutral parties to identify their aircraft. As she is an early B-24A who served in that period, they claim it's authentic... and I have seen pics that corroborate that actually. It is certainly...garish?
