Kuwaiti Air Force C-17 KDOV Pics

Greetings, Quite possibly my shot of the year. I Drove to KDOV yesterday to get some shots of the KAF C17. The moment I saw the shots of this aircraft when it was sitting at KLGB tech Ramps maybe a year ago I was obsessed getting it.

I think this one even trumps the Qatar C-17

Senga, I think, you're biggest collector of most rare aircrafts...

    Hi Gintaras,
I might very well be but there is always someone else out there that has more- much more :) Its nice to find a nitch in the hobby that parallels the general aviation photography. I wish more people would do that. For me I think it was a drive to document and be a part of quickly disappearing part of aviation and then spread out and document more unique and unusual aircraft.

Wow... definitely catch of the year. What a classic looking color scheme too. Although I still like the Qatari one best :)

What a cool looking Globemaster, Senga. I can tell you really went out of your way to get it with no obstructions in front

    Megatop.
Yes I did go well out of my way. Some planes I just don't want to screw up. I took 50+ images in varying light and exposure settings. The funny thing is I ended up using the 2nd shots I took :) It was not easy to get it unobstructed. It could have been worse MUCH worse and it has been.

I'm with Manny on this one, the Qatar bird tops the paint scheme, but Kuwait's is quite nice too, looks a bit like the old C-5 and C-141 paint jobs from back in the day.

Thanks mark :) Captmjk16, That's exactly what I say as well about the Kuwaiti C-17. I remember seeing the C-141s and the C-5s that had that same look and when I lived in Korea for 3 years 1980-83. I saw the KAF C-17 it reminded me of that classic USAF AMC white top, grey bottom and black nose and brought back those memories. Senga
