You missed me !!! I was in 743CK, the DHL/K4 hybrid 400, that schussed onto 31R with a wee tailwind, we were planning for the Canarsie when they inexplicably shifted to the 31s while we were plummeting out of the heavens angling for CCC, on the new Parch1 arrival, it twas a lovely day to be arriving at my field of dreams JFK, with Jamaica Bay and the shining sea Atlantic all aglitter in the sun, I had time for a dozen littlenecks at the Bayhouse before rushing over to terminal 2 and my deadhead to DTW, just in time to spot, and watch Big Mama 743, in her glory, bellow off of 13R Leipzig bound, a lovely day indeed !!!
The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!

They look like different panel covers for the evacuation slides.

I appears to be a Lufthansa panel:

On the other side it appears to be from an Malaysian A380:

Thanks Fasil...When I leave my work in Mineola and I see planes going to 22's, when I get a chance, I drive to the mounds - closest spot for me.

    Mark, great shots of yours.
