Air Force One to JFK 4-11-14

TFR posted, looks like Air Force One will be coming into JFK Friday afternoon.

Weather looks like cloudy skies with a 30% chance of rain.

The JFK TFR is from 1430-1530 local ...so sometime in that range. Departure is between 2300-2359 local.

I heard a rumor that the last time or the time before that AF-1 came in they had everyone leave Bayswater Park.

Anyone advise if that is true? And was it the Secret Service or NYPD?
    Thanks.

Last time I was there there were boys with assault rifles who checked out our bags and let us stay. Either way Secret service is on ground and in air with local authorities the whole time.

That must be new - I've photographed AF1 from Bayswater numerous times, and never saw a soul around. Not to say they weren't watching me, but no security was even in the park, let alone approached me.

They just checked your bags? What about lenses? What if you had a bazooka in your lense-look-like?

Not sure I would joke about such things online when our hobby is already subject to enough scrutiny as it is....

Actually I was in Inwood Park with a bunch of guys. IIRC we may have been kicked out of Bayswater right before. Which I didn't care because I don't like shooting it from Bayswater and was headed to Inwood.

NCPD Helo 5 checking out the spotters at Inwood Park. BSO (Bureau of Special Operations) had a unit there, Officers got out and watched AF-1 land.
