    JFK 4-5-14

Well, couldn't make to JFK RWY Run(wasn't feeling good in the morning). Afternoon went first to Jamaica Wildlife to try new lense - Sigma 50-500. Windy and not much birds.
After, stopped @ Hobo parking lot for airplanes. Never before I had lense that big and heavy(plus wind blowing me out of balance) and I didn't think, that I could have any "keepers" - I thought, that it would take some time to get used and to learn new lense. Kinda surprising to me, when I got back home and looked at pictures on computer:

Took Air France A380 arrival on 31L from Howard Beach location:

Great shots Gintaras. The lens looks sharp as shown. Were you out at all yesterday?

TIP: Take a look at your calibration on your computer. Images have a bit of a red cast to them.

Mark, your con-trail shots are superb.

    Thanks guys...

Manny, I couldn't go out for pictures yesterday, I did stop @ Hobo parking lot on sat after short trip to Wildlife.
Can't wait untill next weekend - if weather is good. Also, I would like to go after work to mounds, if arrivals on 22 and nice, sunny afternoon.

Thanks for the tip, I do have x-rite, but used once on desktop pc which I almost never use anymore. I'm too amateur - need to learn a lot about all that stuff...
Most editing I do - crop, levels and sharpening, I'd like to learn how to do noise reduction.

You didn't miss anything at JFK RWY run no cameras were allowed so your time spent spotting outside is time well spent. I am really surprised by 31L departures almost all of them turning to soon.

Seriously, no cameras were allowed? Why the change from last year?
