your "LHA346" Looks more like a 747 to me, Kiffy.
It's definitely an A340.
The easiest way to tell is that the A340 has a thinner, longer body and engines. 747s look a little more stubby.
The contrails are also very distinct. A340 trails head straight back while 747 trails overlap about 700ft back.
Here's a quick comparison of contrailing shots. With the the A380, 707, C-5 and C-17 too, why not.
