    767-200 at LGA currently

Heard on the tower freq a delta getting cleared for the expressway visual behind a heavy 767 yesterday. Later was in LGA and saw a private 762 sitting over near the MAT where the trump 75 often parks. Anyone have any info on the operator/owner? -- was dark when I saw it so couldn't get a reg.

I think I saw it on final a week or two ago... Might be n762__ something to that extent.
Probably the youngest spotter ever to walk up the face of the mounds.

Checking flight aware this bird was in LGA two other times in the last two weeks. I actually watched it land at EWR about a month ago from the Southbound Turnpike arriving from GVA. Very nice looking 767 that seems to get a lot of use for a non airliner.

Not to get off topic but in other 762 news US retired our second oldest 762 N246AY last week. It is currently at BFM being prepared for lease return. Ship 245 the first delivered and once named "The Pride of Piedmont" faces a similar fate in the very near future.

I've shot 246, Ron, but still don't have 245. I see it was in CLT today (damn work!) Hopefully she cycles through this way again before she's done.

Moose each US 762 is either in CLT or PHL everyday so you should have a good shot at catching her.

Good to know that, Ron, I'll have to keep an eye on FlightAware.

Likewise. I'm long over due for a CLT visit to catch some of the 762s.. and all the other USAir birds now that the messy grey american colors are starting their take over.

Watching the Eastern L1011s doing the Expressway Visual back in the 70's, while playing hooky at a Met's game is a fond memory, heavy 3 holer iron used to be an everyday thing at LGA.
The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!

Well that was really cool. N673BF just departed LGA again for of all places St Kitts (SKB). LGA had mass cancellations due to hours of fog and there were only a few aircraft on the whole airport. A runway change from 13 to 31 (very common after a front passes thru) had just occured and there were departure delays due to weather over various departure fixes. A coworker called down to Ops from the tower and said Ron look out the window. There was the 76 holding on Bravo right behind Trumps 757. I ran outside and after about 10 mins of sitting the 76 got released and taxied around Trump and departed 31. As it started its departure roll Trump started to taxi and they were the only two aircraft moving on the whole airport, a private 757 and 767. So So Cool both the view and the sound, what a RUSH.

    Cheers
