    Olympics

I've been trying to watch the Sochi airport on flightradar24.com

Does anyone know how the US team got there? I assume it took more than one flight

I seem to remember reading a few months ago about some additional UAL 777 and 747 legs from IAD and EWR to Sochi, which I think were to move the team. I could of course be wrong about the purpose, but I am certain I read about some extra UAL segments for what it is worth...

Did Aeroflot ever paint an aircraft with the Sochi livery? I guess they're the official airline of the 2014 Winter Olympics. The Delta Atlanta Summer Olympics aircraft (1996) and their Salt Lake City Winter Olympics aircraft come to mind. I think Air Canada had an aircraft painted with the Vancouver livery as well. Any other aircraft flying with an Olympic livery? A sticker doesn't count. I also recall that AFR had a B744 showing skiiers down the length of the fuselage to honor the Albertville Winter Games back in '92. Those paint-jobs must be too costly nowadays, when airlines are only worried about profits.

The US team will walk to the town from Paris, disguised as peasants so as not to raise any attraction.
